Explanation-
By looking at a political cartoon, they will see various opinions on historical events, this one in particular being segregation. The caption states "Sorry, but you have an incurable skin condition." Through analysis, student will see when it was created, the artist's name, and the newspaper it was published in. All these aspects are indicators and can help students piece together why this might be the opinion of the artist. This is also another example of a primary source that gives great insight for the student to formulate and argument/stance.
